As a CG designer, I create all aspects of the visuals for gaming machines.
Specifically, I create the lightning and flame effects that appear in pachinko and pachislot machines, as well as cute shape-based effects using heart shapes. I also make moving 3D text using Element3D, and create stylish movies using motion graphics.
What is rewarding and appealing about your job?
What I find rewarding about this job are working on a copyright I like, coming up with my own ideas, and feeling a sense of growth.
While there are generally instructions for the video, there is also a lot of freedom in the direction, which means there are many opportunities to come up with ideas and it is very creative.
I understand the work and add presentation and elements that suit it. It is very satisfying when it works out well and the client is satisfied.
Another appealing aspect is that I can learn new things when people make suggestions to improve the video that I would not have noticed myself.
Repeatedly experiencing these things helps me grow, and the feeling that I am able to create better products is what makes this job so rewarding.
What is the appeal of ALEX?
There are many kind people, regardless of department, and the atmosphere is comfortable, making it easy to ask for help when you’re in trouble.
CG designers interact actively with each other, sharing information and chatting, so I feel like we’re colleagues who sometimes provide emotional support and sometimes help each other improve.
What are your future goals and challenges?
My immediate goal is to pursue “how to create better things within a deadline.”
To achieve this, I’d like to not only improve work efficiency and increase input, but also be conscious of how I work, such as smoothing communication with directors and determining direction without wasting time. I also hope to share what I’ve learned, train my juniors, and raise the level of the entire company, thereby building an environment where we aim to be a company with top creators.
