As a programmer, I create programs related to pachislot effects.
Specifically, I create programs that control pachislot effects, UI, and buttons related to the effects.
I work in C using development software such as Visual Studio.
Occasionally I create macros in VBA to improve work efficiency, or propose new effects to the planning team.
What is rewarding and appealing about your job?
The most rewarding part is writing programs.
Among them, I find it rewarding to think about how to design processes that can detect bugs and unexpected behavior
and then implement them.
For example, there are many things to consider, such as differences in presentation and UI for each model, and the timing of button inputs.
As a result, unexpected bugs are bound to occur. When I can detect such bugs in advance, I feel a sense of satisfaction that the program is working properly.
I also often have to modify programs due to specification changes. In such cases, it’s easier to modify them if the programs I wrote previously are organized, and I feel a sense of accomplishment knowing I’ve written a good program.
What is the appeal of ALEX?
I think the appeal of ALEX is that there are so many pachislot fans.
Because there are so many pachislot fans, all of our employees think every day about how to create interesting slot machines.
We also have people from a variety of professions within the company, including planning, video, and development, and we have a system in place that allows for collaboration between people from other professions.
For that reason, I find it very appealing that we can come up with good ideas from our own perspectives and work towards the common goal of creating interesting pachislot machines.
What are your future goals and challenges?
My future goal is to grow to the point where I can be entrusted with an entire project as the main person in charge.
ALEX is my first time working in the pachislot industry, and I’ve only been with the company for a short time, so there’s still a lot I don’t know.
Even with this lack of experience, I’ve been given many opportunities to grow, such as being entrusted with programming some of the functions and participating in meetings.
The company also has established know-how for pachislot development, and there are many senior colleagues I can consult with about programming, so I am always able to access the information I need.
This environment is perfect for daily growth, so I will work hard toward my goals and challenge myself to create exciting pachislot machines.
Message for those currently looking for work and those planning to join the company
We welcome pachislot fans and people who love making things.
At ALEX, even programmers have an environment where they can give their opinions to planning and production and have them reflected.
We’d love to work with people who love playing pachislot and want to create the pachislot of their dreams.
We look forward to making more pachislot fans join us. Let’s create the best pachislots together.
